          Job Description & Qualifications Position Duties:
          This technical position will offer an experienced engineer the chance to apply your knowledge and business acumen in a role that is shaping the future of the automotive industry:


          • Lead core design and release activities for electrified vehicle high voltage connectors.


          • Design high voltage connectors to meet cross vehicle program requirements, including global programs (applicable to Hybrid Electric, Plug-In Hybrid Electric, and Battery Electric Vehicles)


          • Perform benchmarking to understand competitive practices and ensure best possible design


          • Understand unique electrified vehicle requirements


          • Conduct Design Reviews


          • Lead sourcing and on-going supplier communications


          • Support target setting process


          • Support on-going programs


          • Author Engineering Documents, including design rules, component specifications, and testing methods


          • Responsible for all design verification testing plans and execution


          • Responsible for identifying and maintaining current state of design




          • (QCWF) Quality, Cost, Weight, Functional Targets/Requirements

          • Understand and adhere to Ford connector SDS requirementsMinimum Requirements


          • At least 3 years engineering experience in the automotive industry


          • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering


          • Minimum 3-5 years Design & Release experience


          • The following areas of experience would be advantageous:




          • Previous electric vehicle and EDS/wiring


          • Metallurgical/Materials


          • Manufacturing


          • Adept at working across organizational boundaries to accomplish tasks


          • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks


          • Team player with good collaborative problem-solving skills


          • Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently


          • Proven oral and written communication skills
