We are a well-known, public, and global company that is expanding our engineering to the Detroit area! This is a long term contract position (12+ months) with the potential of going permanent.
What You Will Be Doing
Create new HMI for driver assistant systems and conduct in-lab and in-vehicle tests
Participate in brainstorming meetings to generate new application ideas
Research new technologies related to vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication systems
Collaborate with vendors and internal departments for building new prototype applications
What You Need for this Position
B.S. degree in Human Factors Engineering, Ergonomic Engineering, Computer Science, Psychology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
Experience designing and creating graphical/audio human interfaces
Programming experience in any of the following languages: C/C++, Python, C# or Java
Automotive industry experience preferably with ITS technology (Intelligent Transportation Systems)
Strong analytical skills
Research experience in the areas of psychology, human factors, ergonomics etc.
Programming for interfacing between devices
Experience with Qt, OpenGL, DirectX, Direct 3D, OpenCV or Altia
Familiar with camera image processing
