Toyota is looking for motivated New Graduates for multiple Design, Powertrain and Electrical Systems Engineering positions in the following locations: Michigan (Ann Arbor and Saline) and California (Gardena and Torrance)

The following divisions are currently hiring New Engineering Graduates
Engineering Design Division - Mechanical Engineers - Michigan
Departments include Kino/Moveable Parts, Body Shell, Instrument Panel and HVAC Integration, Seats, Interior Trim and Components
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Coordinate the design and development of parts and components
* Plan vehicle interior or exterior package and style feasibility
* Create/modify design parts to meet engineering and manufacturability requirements
* Follow parts through validation and launch
* Proactively improve design cost and quality for models in production
Powertrain Division - Mechanical Engineers - Michigan and California
Departments include Chassis Design, Engine Powertrain Design, Certification, Powertrain - CAE and Research, OBD Calibration, Engine Calibration, Engineering Design Drivetrain, System Control and Drivetrain Calibration and Evaluation
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Engine design, development and calibration
* Calibration of automatic transmission controls
* Developing new Drivetrain control logic
* Chassis design and development including making drawings, issuing specifications, vehicle & part evaluations and analysis
* Perform tuning, conduct drivability evaluations and develop performance target recommendations
* Engine transmission control system development and OBD system development support
Electronic Systems Division - Electrical Engineers - Michigan
Departments include Cockpit Electronics Strategy, Wire Harness and Packaging, Multimedia and Telematics Systems
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Design, verification and implementation of vehicle multimedia components, such as audio head units, navigation, audio amplifiers, speakers, various antennae, rear seat entertainment components and telematic devices
* Conduct benchmarking and performance target setting activities for audio sound quality and radio reception performance
* Wire harness development, routing and packaging
* CAD packaging studies
* Proactively improve design cost and quality for models in production
* Mechanical vehicle packaging and vehicle electrical system schematics drawing creation, review and release
* Specifications, requests for sourcing, execution and reporting status of responsible parts
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Formula SAE, BAJA or equivalent collegiate motorsport experience
* Automotive Interest and/or co-op/internship experience
* General understanding and application of standard engineering theory and principles
* Analytical problem solving abilities.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively
* Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
* CAD experience

Toyota Technical Center (TTC) is a division of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, North America Inc., established in 1977. Michigan R&D facilities are located in Ann Arbor, Saline, Plymouth and Livonia. In addition, TTC has testing facilities in Torrance and Gardena, California and a 10-mile oval test track in Wittmann, Arizona.
TTC has development responsibility for the Avalon, Camry, RAV4 EV, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra and Venza.
