Manage, coordinate and schedule all aspects of the project life cycle,
including proposal, design, manufacture, build and project closure (aerospace
and defense actuators and ballscrews) Assess the likely duration and
complexity of a project and anticipate the equipment, materials, personnel,
time, and resource needs that will be required Create and manage project
timeline Develop and implement communication standards to ensure all matters
relating to a project's status is accurately and appropriately disseminated to
the customer, project team members, and management Confer with management to
resolve open issues, problems or irregularities uncovered throughout the
project development process and updates reports as necessary Work
cooperatively with internal (engineering, cost estimating, contract
administration, etc.) personnel to update, review, or make recommendations on
orders and cost estimates paying close attention to schedule and cost Manage
outside vendor relationships and sub-contractors Ensure the accuracy of
customer invoices and vendor progress billings. The Proposals/ Program Manager
is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all proposal efforts, including
the schedule, budget, scope, and all communication. The Program Manager will
manage the entire upfront planning process, such as the clarification of
objectives, and guidance toward the achievement of project goals for aerospace
and defense actuators and ballscrew programs. The Program Manager is also the
point-of-contact with the customer and company team. Required Job Skills &
Experience: Bachelors degree in engineering, business or project management,
with applicable work experience preferably in the aerospace & defense industry
5+ years proposal/program/project management experience (2+ years supervisory
experience), including working through RFPs, delivering presentations, and
creating reports in written and oral format for management and customers in
small and large groups on a regular, timely basis Refined customer service
skills Superior technical writing skills with a strong ability to interpret
technical documents Ability to work with employees at all levels of the
manufacturing/industrial organization Comfortable working in a team, as well
as autonomously Working knowledge of all MS Office applications, especially MS
Project Minimal travel is expected Preferred Job Skills & Experience: PMP
certification Contract negotiation skills Extensive knowledge of budgets,
schedules and cost estimating
