Kelly Services is seeking candidates for a Training Facilitator opportunity with an industry leading, Fortune 500, global, chemical manufacturing company in Midland, MI!
The successful candidate will train not only our in-house employees, but also our contractors when appropriate. We’re looking for a person who has many years of manufacturing experience and is interested in a part time position working a highly flexible 8-20 hrs. /week facilitating training on site. The successful candidate has a passion for facilitating in front of a classroom and working with others. Those who can transfer their expertise and experience through personal stories are especially effective.
Training content is typically already developed, but providing input for continuous improvement is desired. Occasionally we have the need to develop new courses.
Examples of Facilitator responsibilities
Facilitate the learning process in the classroom. Utilize adult learning principles. Create a classroom environment suitable for discovery learning. Encourage dialogue and hands on learning. Build rapport with trainees and encourage them to develop trust in one another so they ask questions and can rely on each other in the field Ensure all content is covered. Manage classroom timing and dialogue. Perform skill checks to validate proficiency and knowledge. Set up training supplies and materials to enhance instruction program Suggest and make improvements to learning content
Examples of Training Coordinator skills
High school diploma/GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred) 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing. Knowledge and application of OSHA or Dow standards while working in those roles. Experience with Distributed Control Systems such as MOD, ABB, Siemens, Foxboro or PLC is an advantage. Familiarity with training industry best practices and standards Ability to translate complex problems and concepts in training Strong leadership and communication skills
