          Hours: 40 hrs-wk; 1st shift; variable
          Job Details:
          Assists provider by preparing patients for treatment, taking patient’s medical history, assisting provider during patient treatment as necessary, and performing various office support functions. All Clinic Assistants are required to be proficient in the minimal skill set and at least one advanced skill set as required by the home site. Qualifications:High school graduate. Education and/or training as a medical assistant, certified medical assistant or associates degree from a medical assistant program required. LPN license preferred. Clinical experience required. Physician office experience preferred. Demonstrated typing skills. Familiar with word processing and data entry functions. Well developed communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives. Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of Mercy Health Partners. Ability to interact with various individuals with diverse backgrounds. Demonstrate a customer service orientation with patients and family members. Actively support the mission of MHP. Demonstrate support for Value Based Principles of Operation through performance of duties. Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team member. Ability to work independently. Must be comfortable in working in an electronic health care environment.
