Job Description

In this role, you will work with team lead/project manager to develop final product with the ability to work directly with the client to develop final product. The role develops or updates service information based on the end user needs, client specifications/expectations and the current product information. You will research product information and utilize various computer systems for delivery of the final product to client. Responsible for communication with client and internal contributors to ensure the programs are within established budget and timing guidelines. You will Interact with department management and support personnel for input, direction and resource acquisition. Will require the ability to work on diverse tasks and projects with minimal guidance.

Other responsibilities would include, but not limited to:

  • Consult with various client contacts (external) and subject matter experts (internal and external) to gather product specific information.

  • Provide high level of proficiency in developing wiring, diagnostic and technical writing projects in multiple authoring environments based on the level of equity assigned.

  • Participate in meetings with clients and co-workers.

  • Develop technical information using client supplied resources, such subject matter experts, product teardowns and engineering schematics.

  • Authors’ diagnostics in various computer programs under defined development schedules.

  • Authors labor times in conjunction with repair procedures to ensure time-efficient processes are established.

  • Advise Project Manager/Team Lead of project status and potential issues.

  • Complete various additional assignments as directed by Project Manager/Team Lead.

  • Work directly with customer contacts to guide them through problem resolution.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of authoring experience required.

  • State or ASE certifications preferred.

  • Knowledge of and ability to describe electronic and electrical fundamentals, mechanical procedures, flat rate labor time methods and processes, and modern automotive systems.

  • Knowledge of modern light truck diesel applications and automotive hybrid powertrains preferred.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, monitor and assess performance within deadlines and utilize appropriate resources to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow complicated verbal and written communication (i.e. client communications, engineering draft material, electronic module design specifications and sub-system schematics).

  • Ability to communicate written and verbal ideas in a clear, concise manner.

  • Ability to utilize creative problem resolution skills to handle client related concerns.

  • Must be within a commutable distance to facility. Relocation support not offered.

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without VISA sponsorship.

  • Not eligible for VA/VN assignment.
