Manage the Technology Architecture team, including hiring, training, staff development, performance management, and annual performance reviews, in the design of standard technology solutions to address business or technology gaps. Support advancement of emerging technology. Maintain technology standards definition, roadmap including full life-cycle of solution, compliance measurement, and improvement initiatives. Certify stand-alone solution components and participate with standard patterns certification as required. Liaise with Architecture Planning and Integration Architecture teams. Execute "first build" process for specific technology domain. Work with Integration Architecture and Solution Build teams to establish "first build" design standards, ensuring appropriate and necessary integration, end-to-end enterprise architecture capability, and supportability. Implement a complimentary continuous improvement process to evaluate and adjust design standards as required. Advance the innovation agenda by identifying emerging technologies and applicable opportunities within a technology domain. Support proof of concept (PoC) initiatives by documenting business case and participating in evaluation. Based on PoC results, revise valuation as appropriate to support potential adoption. Provide portfolioroject management support. Support Solution Architects and PM teams as required. Communicate with and teach Solution Architects on technology building blocks, including when/how to leverage. Solicit feedback on standard solution building block operational achievement of design requirements and update as necessary. Support Financial Management budget and forecast processes as required. Own cost model for respective technology IT services or applicable technology components of IT services to ensure next generation solution outcomes achieve cost, quality, flexibility, and integration requirements. Support contract and supplier management and purchasing teams on an ongoing basis and during sourcing efforts. Develop sufficient knowledge of service provider contracts to leverage supplier capabilities through active participation in dialogue, training, and product reviews.
