Product Marketing Manager - DynamometerThe Product Marketing Manager - Dynamometer shall manage the intersection of business needs, technological requirements and user experience through direct interaction with Sales Managers, Segment Managers, Platform Managers and LPG Managers. Goals must be accomplished within prescribed time frames and parameters and consistent with business strategies.2018-06-30Senior professionals ( 5 years of work experience)Tasks:Leadership and People Management: Provide direction and vision to a cross functional team for Ramp up and Ramp Down product activities. Ensure that the team works in collaboration with sales, marketing, segment managers, product development, and production to meet the product objectives of the business. Supervise market assessments, competitive evaluations, input to product development requirements, identification of customer needs and perceptions, management of product databases, and preparation of sales and marketing materials. Strategy and Marketing Activity: Drive market demand for assigned products by generating and implementing innovative ideas and recommendation that foster an environment of customer engagement. Advocate for consistent complete technology platforms to ensure market requirements of assigned products are met. Maintain local Product Roadmap and solicit feedback to ensure markets requirements are understood and positioned properly. Ensure value propositions and positioning of products are clearly described and communicated throughout the Lifecycle of the product. Continuously monitor competitive offerings, evaluating technologies and pricing strategies. Define and communicate product positioning statements in conjunction with Segment Platform managers Develop market level pricing strategies in collaboration with Platform Segment Managers. Develop commercial programs collateral in collaboration with sales managers, segment managers marketing functions. Provide Platform managers timely feedback to be provided to Global Product Groups on key features, attributes, and compliance to local standards, as well as industry needs. Sales Activities and customer relations: Ensure key sales resources and channels understand product positioning and pricing strategies. Maintain a database of applications that can be run on platform products. Specify and leverage existing tools to support regional sales. Work with sales and segment managers to increase product acceptance. Utilize the market feedback they provide for product improvements and new product development. Facilitate the sale of products through channels by developing promotional programs and providing technical support. Identify and represent ABB at key conferences, tradeshows and industry associations.Requirements:Basic Qualifications: Bachelors' degree and 8 years' dynamometer experience *A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience. *A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors' degree in engineering or business or related field 6 + years' dynamometer product and market knowledge Understanding of the applications within the targeted market segmentsl
