8:00am - 4:30pm
Weekends and/or Holidays Required
On Call Required
Responsible for insuring that all Home Health, Hospice, and/or DME billings are resolved within specified timelines. This includes follow-up and statusing account balances outstanding with patients, insurance carriers, and internal resources.
Assumes complete oversight of the affective management of the billing and follow up processes by providing critical feedback regarding recurring issues/problems. Provides resolution regarding process, protocol and procedural concerns. Responsible for maintaining
low Days of Service Outstanding, consistent cash flow, compliance and integrity of receivables.
Advanced education and/or training beyond High School
Minimum 1-year general office work
Minimum 1-year collection, medical billing or related experience Previous experience with the operation of a keyboard and related office equipment
Possess strong ability to effectively communicate and present self in a poised, courteous, and tactful manner
2-years DME, Home Health, or Hospice billing or related office experience
Knowledge of Insurance Verification Software
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
