PDC - Engineering Center 5000 engineering center in Dearborn. Three story building with quad short cube set up for engineers, tall cubes for Supervisors and offices for managers and above. Large suite set up that houses groups by component. Many amenities including large cafeteria, barber shop, sub shop, weekly shoe shine, cafe, vending areas and dry cleaning. Many other eating and shopping choices in the Dearborn areas. Building is well heated and air conditioned per season and has windows for natural light.
Core hours are 8-2:30 with flex from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Overtime is very non-typical and there is no bonus potential in this role.
Dress code is business casual - khakis and a collared shirt to start. Can wear a shirt and tie if desired as supervisors and other engineers prefer the professionalism. Can also be as casual as jeans as Ford changed their policy in 2015. Not recommended for the first couple of months though
Ford is investing 1 billion dollars of infrastructure in Dearborn in the next ten years to lure proper talent and to be on par with its competitors.
