Job Description

Become a key member of our global JOEM Central Sales organization.

As Sales Manager for North America, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Represent the Toyota-Bosch relationship with one-voice, across our mobility divisions, both internally AND externally.

  • Drive sales excellence via cross-division yokoten and kaizen activities to bring our divisions collectively to the best possible performance.

  • Deploy Toyota targets, requests and processes to relevant Bosch internal departments and manage achievement.

  • Continuously develop and manage business relationships with key Toyota stakeholders.

  • Champion regional customer planning data, which consists of vehicle and engine cycle plan, volume and option take rates.

  • Support sales growth targets by the Bosch Divisions by both maintaining current business and hunting for new opportunities.

  • Support sales strategy through active participation in global cross-division steering meetings.

  • Support the resolution of commercial issues from root cause analysis through to the sharing of best practices across Bosch divisions.

  • Support Japanese OEM customers such as Toyota, Subaru and Mazda.

  • Domestic and international travel – up to 15%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technical area.

  • 7+ years sales and/or project management experience as Tier1/2 automotive supplier.

  • 3+ years experience working with JOEMs.

Preferred:

  • Communication style must be adaptable from working level to executive.

  • Proven track record of internal and external selling based on analytics and scenario evaluation.

  • Strong interpersonal, entrepreneurial and negotiation skills in a matrix organization.

  • Must be self-motivated, solution oriented and be able to work in both large teams and independently as needed.

  • Practical understanding of commercial, logistics and quality processes as tier1 automotive sales and demonstrated ability to manage related customer requirements.

  • Firsthand sales experience with Toyota in North America as Tier 1 automotive supplier.

  • Finance and controlling experience.

  • Japanese language skills.

  • Understanding of the market and technologies in the area of software, sensors and new mobilty services.
