Using technical knowledge of Aseptic Processing and Sanitization, primary responsibility is performing environmental sampling in aseptic processing areas.Incubation of samples along with read out of sample results and entry of results into EMIS database.Work Environment is inside aseptic processing area taking environmental samples and in a laboratory settingSecond checks records and assists in training others.Completes training activities and maintains records, equipment, basic lab supplies, and reagents in accordance with cGMP requirements. Works under general supervision.Primary responsibility is performing environmental sampling in aseptic processing area. This will include setting up sampling materials and data summary's in computer, incubation and readout of results along with documentation of results. Also transporting sampling supplies and completed samples to and from laboratory.Work Environment is inside aseptic processing area taking environmental samples and in a laboratory setting involving working with corrosive and toxic chemicals and/or pathogenic organisms. May perform assays on purchased materials, investigative samples, and in-process samples in a laboratory service operation so that the unit and organizational objectives are met. Second checks records and may assist in training others.Completes training activities and maintains records, equipment, basic lab supplies, and reagents in accordance with cGMP requirements. Works effectively in a team laboratory environment. Recognizes atypical data, informs supervision of relevant problems, and offers possible solutions.Displays technical knowledge of Aseptic Processing and Sanitization. Knowledge of applicable technical standards, techniques, principles, theories, concepts and Pfizer processes and industry practices/standards.Works under general supervision. Refers to policies and practices for guidance and follows established procedures. Operates within established HR policies and basic colleague relations guidelines. Contributes to the completion of specific team objectives and assigned project milestones. Knowledge and demonstration of leadership principles.Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline or 3 or more years' experience in an aseptic pharmaceutical production environment.Basic interpersonal communication skills in both oral and written forms within a diverse team setting. Able to follow prescribed policies and procedures. Capable of manual manipulations with fine dexterity. Environmental sampling also requires walking, bending, reaching and lifting to conduct the sampling. Has a fundamental understanding of equipment, instrumentation, and computer applications. Gowning qualification or aseptic processing experience preferred. Previous experience in environmental monitoring / microbiological process control in an industrial or aseptic pharmaceutical production environment preferred. Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are required. Candidate should possess basic computer skills such as data entry, and a high level of attention to detail is also required. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to organize time independently and prioritized their workload in order to meet objectives in a flexible, team-oriented environment. Ability to multi-task is critical for this position. Preferred is Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline and/or experience in an aseptic pharmaceutical production environment.Job duties involve occasional lifting (less than 35 lbs), a lot of walking (several miles/day), standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
