The ReChaco Maintenance Technician will perform periodic preventive maintenance and repair work on all machinery and equipment at ReChaco’s production facility
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing periodic preventive maintenance on all machines.
Responsible for workstation set-up to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.
Responds immediately to equipment breakdowns and repairs or replaces parts as necessary.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and/or listening for problems.
Adjusts functional parts of devices to ensure machines are working to their optimal performance and meeting all applicable safety and quality specifications.
Limits downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring equipment operation and safety compliance.
As necessary, fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; and verifying receipt of orders components.
Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing machine histories.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Strong mechanical aptitude (ReChaco will provide specific training for specialized machines).
Ability to effectively manage time and meet necessary deadlines.
Possess technological knowledge including operating PCs, printers, and scanners.
Highly organized and self starter.
Strong communication and analytical skills.
Must be able to obtain a forklift operation certificate.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Normal indoor factory work environment. Some outdoor work may be required.
